Parent Tot

Have you heard that Kansas is redesigning schools?

Picture
Well, you if you are in education you probably should have!  What does that mean in the library?

A lot!

One main feature of redesign is the emphasis on Kindergarten Readiness.

So how do we reach kiddos that haven't even begun to go to school?

One way is through Parent / Child literacy.

Enter Parent Tot.  The Parent Tot programming offers a chance for parents to come to their school library (once older kiddos have been dropped off at school) with their 0-5 children.  During that time we will be singing, eating breakfast, reading, and passing out books to take home.

See below for the schedule for our four sessions of Parent Tot.
