Coding of the boxes came pretty easily to some, but not to others. We will practice some more with it this week. They liked the robot video. I had a backup video for this too just in case we had some extra time---www.youtube.com/watch?v=sM_fvipTwE0

My 4th and 5th graders loved the robot video. Coding for them was easy because they did a lot of it last year. I had some make up their own and today I had 4th graders. The 4th graders had a partner and had to direct their partner on how to draw a certain picture. It was funny to see how some 4th graders didn't know the difference between their right and left hands.

My 4/5th graders enjoyed the robot video. They had a difficult time understanding how the written algorithm connected to the image at first, but after some hands on practice, they made improvements. We did not get to finish the lesson in it's entirety; we will continue to practice coding this Friday.
