Mustache Research

.Making the connection between Heos-Mustaches--Research

Check out the page http://www.authorbridgetheos.com/all-my-books.php

Then check out this page.  Heos actually MOSTLY writes nonfiction.  Work-for-Hire means that these are books that someone else is giving her the topic.

Here are the rest of her books http://www.authorbridgetheos.com/work-for-hire.php

Note that kids might be interested in a LOT of her books--Triple H?  Lady Gaga??

What is the first thing a writer has to do if they are writing a nonfiction book?  Research!

EPIC day with Heos

Bridget Heos has a TON of books on EPIC, this would be a great time to read one together and then have students pick some read individually on their devices.  My understanding is that all the iPads should have EPIC.

FYI--You will want to make sure they look up Bridget Heos and not just Heos to get her books.
Also-only two of them are read out loud, so you may not need headphones.

Pet Project

This could be in lieu of the animal adaptations or instead of.  This is an easier assignment and this series on EPIC is easier to read.

PreK through First Grade

Picture
The Wonderful Book by Leonid Gore

Words A!ive has a Great Lesson Plan for this book that I really can't improve upon!

This book also provides a good opportunity to talk about library behavior and bookcare after our LONG spring break!

I would select one song or finger play to do with the students and yes to the Bookworm activity.
