3 and 4 year olds: Bear Says, Thanks!; Since we don't have the book, I found a you-tube video of someone reading it. We stopped a few times in between to point out Bears friends and what it meant if the cupboard was "bare."
We talked about things we were "thankful" for afterwards and what they could draw on their paper. Also talked about Thanksgiving coming in a few weeks:)
Didn't have Bear says Thanks, so we used Bear Snores On. It went perfectly with the time of year and the picture even looked a bit like the illustration. Kids are too young to draw a pic of what bear is dreaming.
11-19-2014; In November; They like the different song, Row, row, row, yourself….
The story talks about lots of things that are happening in November. On some of the pages, we stopped to talk about things. Ex: All the people gathering together for a "feast" and what holiday is next week.
(They want to tell everything they are doing for Turkey Day! got to love them pre-k's!
