here is the flipchart that accompanies that lesson

How to Use the Library Catalog Lessons--This is written as a one day lesson, but I expect you to do a mini review of the catalog and practice, practice, practice for the whole rest of the month.

Dewey Decimal Video

       Washington-September 2nd-5th

Dewey Decimal Video; The first class was very wiggly. The second class did a little better, but for both classes I stopped the video for the last 10 minutes (too much info I felt for this grade level). We then talked about books that they might want to check out next time they came in and where in the library they might find them. For ex: Sports-796.

9-15-14; Destiny: D-1.
Students liked searching for books, but lots of them were asking "where" to read the book. I explained to them there was only a summary. Still need lots of practice looking up or searching for books!
(We could use a lesson with kids how to bookmark, re-booting the computer; only a suggestion:), but would help when there is a big class. Can't get around to help all of them sometimes!
